The lamps will launched in two parts. Two series classical lamps were launched on market during the fall 2008 and within the spring 2009 two series of modern lamps will be launched on market.

The RATIA outdoor lamp series for Suomen Valo is designed by Ristomatti Ratia and Davide Lamparelli. The intention of designing has been the harmony between the lamp, home and the nature around. The designing of the classical models was based on the idea of the lamp to be "silent and organic"; the lamp doesn´t call attention to itself or dominate the space - it more like grows from the ground or the wall. The modern models emphasize elegance and sort of sublety; separate parts don´t pop out visually and all the lamp itself is creating light. The feelings and emotions caused by the polarization and reflection by light have been studied when designing the lamps.
